The Pack Committee Update

June 2011

Greetings all Cub Scout families!

School is out and summer is here next week!  Time to enjoy the nice weather and our kids!  

Just a few days before we all hear “I don’t have anything to do” I’m bored, and will you play with me?  

Cub Scout Handbooks:  Time to get out the cub scout hand book and start working on your electives for the coming year.  Families, please read through the electives to find fun stuff to do and look ahead to fit these activities into your summer plans.  Don’t even tell them it’s for scouts, just have fun! There are lots of good ideas to keep kids busy and having a good time earning rewards.

Camping:  There are several day and overnight camping opportunities over the summer for scouts and families.  Please check the home page of our website for more information.  These are great opportunities for kids to have an experience like no other place.  We encourage your participation.

Looking  back over the year…

Thank you to our Den Leaders for keeping us going and for all your efforts.  You are the heart and soul of the pack and we appreciate each one of you!  You walked cold legs through food drives, planned meetings, borrowed tools, and gave gentle direction.   We couldn’t have done it without your time energy.   

Thank you to Mr. Stephen “Cub Scout” Foster, for maintaining our website (one of the best scout sites  around)  and for posting his wonderful photos of our many events throughout the year.  Thanks for your time and efforts!  Job well done, Sir!
